Youth Idle No More. July 10-14, 2013.
We are pleased to invite First Nations, Métis and Inuit youth leaders to join us for our 3rd annual youth leadership symposium at McGill University this summer from July 10-14th! Youth will have the opportunity to actively participate in dialogue and sessions that focus on creative self-expression and engagement with various topics including arts, storytelling, music, environmental science, and healthy living. In addition to these interactive sessions and workshops, we will have various excursions in Montreal (including La Ronde amusement park) and a day at the Pow Wow in Kahnawake. We have planned a full program that will enable youth to make connections and friendships as they share stories and consider future possibilities.
This leadership symposium will bring together youth, Elders, community members, and scholars. This is an opportunity to learn more about issues that you care about, to share your voice, and be inspired to become a strong leader in your own community. We look forward to meeting with a dynamic group of youth this summer at McGill University in Montreal!
